Salam,
Hmm..at last,a topic to be thought about..about my first-degree course,Literature and Humanity.
“Makcik: Ambil ‘course’ ape pergi Australia tu?Medic?Engine?
Emkay: Sastera dan kemanusiaan..
Makcik: Hah?”
Well…does literature and humanity course is an awful course?
I don’t think so.
Does JPA and MARA only serve students who are good in physics to be an engineer and biology to be a doctor?
I guess no.
Why does our people like to think..that way?even though students from SBP Alam Shah..?
I don’t know.
If I ask any people about which offer should I choose, between TESL and L&H(read literature and humanity),most of them,99% will say TESL.Why?because it can secure me…
A job.
A job as a teacher, hmm…Even if I do or I dont get the offer for TESL,these are some of my reasons on rejecting and thankful the TESL offer.
The TESL course is actually an offer to study TESL at foreign university, and if I succeed,I will be bonded to the government as a teacher for 5 years.
1. I got JPA offer letter first
Well,as a matter of fact,JPA deserve me.First come first serve lah.+,I am now ready for JPA,since the TESL offer will arive on this 10 June.
2. There is still a doubt
MY objective of studying abroad is because it is out from Malaysia. No one, absolutely no one can bluff, that they dont feel studying abroad is an exciting momentum.Trust me.Everyone get excited.
I’ve heard news that only HALF(read some, selected) of the students under ‘perguruan’ who actually study there for 2-4 sem,the rest only make a short course about 2-3 weeks.
So,there’s still a doubt whether I will be lucky enough to study abroad. It kills my excitement. And I dont like it.That is not juicy.
3. Who is a teacher?
Hmm..I wonder, WHO is actually..a teacher? Is it true,or is it not true that all the candidates who apply for ‘perguruan’ course want to be teacher?
Or is it because, like I said, it is offering the students to study abroad?
Yes,they did,sat for Inventori Sahsiah Perguruan(INSAK test)But you know, and I know that everyone of us know the answer. There’s no doubt that the answer which will secure a high mark stand out obviously.
So,can you say that they, who apply for it, will answer it sincerely.I have a doubt on that.
A teacher,is not an applicants who score high in INSAK test.
4. The nation is depending on me.
Deep in my heart,I really think that the applicants should not only capable, but also really interested and keen to be teacher. This is because, the nation, the Z generation is depending on them. They cant choose to be a teacher because it offer them to study at foreign university. They simply cant. That is a very detrimental things to do.
As for me,I dont want to be a teacher,at least for now.Alhamdulillah..I am capable..but do I sincere?Only Allah knows.
5. It secure me a job
Things which have been destined for us since we were in our Mother’s womb:
1.Death(Ajal maut)
2.Husband/wife(jodoh)
3.Hereafter Destination(syurga/neraka)
4.Fortune( more to rezeki lah..)
And i believe WHOLLY in REZEKI..even though this JPA course does not secure me a job after graduating,I believe in it.
+,If I accept it,I will not have a chance to be a job-hunters,which in my opinion is really an exciting experience indeed.Spare me a blood of experience.
Hmm…I guess,I have made my point clear.Crystal Clear. And tomorrow,I’ll write about to what extend does receiving L&H offer is a relevant decision to be done.
Thank you.
Salam

hi,
thanx for ur comment.
i used to dream-becoming a teacher, i mean.
and now, i guess i like it. it is easier to instill that feeling when you r at institut perguruan and believe it or not everyone around you are going to be teachers!hehe.
speaking bout mara..ahh,i prefer to be an MRSM teacher you know, easier-IMO. but I got a B for addmath whch disqualified me.
i hope to hear from u- a bunch of u- at KMS.after all, we re in da same boat, aren’t we?
